Spontaneous Exclamations

A spontaneous exclamation is a spontaneous statement made either during or after a startling or stressful event or act. It is a statement that is made so spontaneously that the likelihood that the declarant fabricated the statement is low.

Example

Person A is at a party and a fight breaks out. Person A hears gun shots and runs out of the house. Outside on the driveway, person A see’s a friend, person B, who was also attending the party. Person B grabs person A and says “run, person C shot someone inside the house”.
